COVID-19: WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU
ENQUIRIES
Hartwell has been committed to handling customer questions and enquiries online and over the phone for some time, so this is not a new way of working for us.
This means you can still use our constantly updated and monitored website to make enquiries about new and used vehicles from across the Hartwell group.
You’ll notice an easy-to-use Live Chat Support on the website (bottom right of the homepage) which you can make use of, as well clear updates on how we are operating amid Coronavirus and what services you can access.
MOT HOLIDAY
In an open letter published on our website, in line with the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) we have confirmed that as of Monday 30 March 2020, MOT due dates for cars, motorcycles and light vans will be extended by six months. This is, of course, being done to help prevent the spread of coronavirus.
If your vehicle’s MOT is due after 30 March 2020 and we are yet to make contact with you, we will be doing so to explain the situation. We will be in touch again to make a booking as soon as we are able to re-open.
FORD COMMITS TO VENTILATOR SUPPORT
Ford, in collaboration with GE Healthcare, has announced that it will begin producing a third-party ventilator with the goal to produce 50,000 of the vitally needed units within 100 days and up to 30,000 a month thereafter as needed.
Ford will leverage the design of Airon Corp.’s FDA-cleared ventilator to produce the much-needed equipment in the international fight against Coronavirus.
Jim Hackett, President and CEO at Ford, said: “The Ford and GE Healthcare teams, working creatively and tirelessly, have found a way to produce this vitally needed ventilator quickly and in meaningful numbers.” He added: “We can help health care workers save lives, and that’s our No. 1 priority.”
